Claude Cahun Foundation Website
The Claude Cahun Foundation Website provides visibility to Claude Cahun, a Jewish, gender-nonconforming Surrealist working from 1912 to 1954 and producing photography, photomontage, writing, and sculptural work.
This project aims to translate Claude Cahun’s explorations of identity and self-representation into a digital experience through minimalist design, mirrored interactions, and a monochrome visual palette. And preserve their work and legacy through the Claude Cahun Foundation Website.

The visual identity is refined and bold. The black-and-white color palette allows the images to blend into the rich background and allows the surrealist imagery to be central. It also provides a sense of reverence and a memorial, elaborating on the website's purpose.
